Hi. I've edited the "joe.doe@yourdomain.com" to "devranaliyoner@gmail.com" and uploaded to my ftp.

But somehow when i fill the form online and send. It shows "Thank you for getting in touch..." message. But nothing comes to my Gmail inbox or spam folder!

    What am i missing?

    Thanks.

    Hi Devran,

I think that the problem is coming from some server restriction or setting. Can you please zip up all of your site files and send them over, so we can set them up on our server and see if the issue persists.

    Thanks,
    Nick

Just uploaded to http://nikolaylechev.com/t/ without changing anything. Can you send a few messages and see if you receive them?

    Thanks,
    Nick

Yes, i received the message to my spam folder but anyways it's sent without a problem.

So, it looks like it's about my server. What should i do? Do you have a suggestion?

I'm not that familiar with which settings to the server maybe causing this, but maybe if you contact your hosting providers for support and explain that the contact form runs from a JS/PHP script they can shed some light or even adjust your settings so the mail isn't blocked from going out from the server.

    Thanks,
    Nick

My hosting provider says "All SMTP options are active so that there is nothing that can block to send mail."

    Any suggestions?

  • Devran Ali replied

By the way they said that i should edit my post.php file according to the attached "mailphp.zip"

I've taken a look at what they sent you, this seems to be a PHP mailer plugin that they say you should setup in order for the contact form to work.

I don't understand why wouldn't my script work on your server and instead they refer you to a different script to setup.

Can you take a look at the following:

    Where is you site hosted?
Can you send me some screenshots of your admin panel?
Can you see where you can edit those SMTP options the hosting provider is refers to and send me a screenshot from there as well?
What version of PHP and Apache does the server run on?

    Thanks,
    Nick

    1 - It's hosted at Turkey.

2 - Here is my admin panel i think because it's called hosting panel here. But unfortunately it's only in Turkish.

    3 - The only editable thing is some php.ini options. Which are;

4 - I don't know if it helps but, my outgoing smtp server address is "mail.inisiyatifajans.com" port:587 with no security enabled.

5 - I don't know about what PHP or Apache version runs on server but i'll ask.

6 - Now they say that i must use a form with smtp authentication.
