Changing color of text

    I need to change the color of the text of <h1>

    When I do so , in style.css, the "ticker" stops working.

    I created a separate

    h7 {

    color: #DC9625;

    font-style: normal;

    font-weight: 400;

    line-height: 1.17em;

    margin: 0 0 20px;

    font-size: 3.46666666667em;

    text-transform: uppercase;

    letter-spacing: 0.20em;

    }

    and even changed the ticker to

    .ticker h7 {

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    height: 90px;

    -webkit-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    -moz-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    -o-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    }

    but it doesn't work. This is the main "hero" where I need the headlines to change color but keep the animation.

    I also need to change the color of the text on the "learn more" and contact- where can I do that?

    Please help

    Hi Aleya,

    There is no h7 element in HTML at all, maybe you can try changing it to 'p'.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    I'm using the <p> in various places so I don't ant to change that.

    There is only one place where H1 is used that I wanted to change the color- so I created a H7

    h7 {

    color: #DC9625;

    font-style: normal;

    font-weight: 400;

    line-height: 1.17em;

    margin: 0 0 20px;

    font-size: 3.46666666667em;

    text-transform: uppercase;

    letter-spacing: 0.20em;

    }

    The color of the text changes but the animation "ticker' doesn't work.

    So I made the ticker

    .ticker h7 {

    margin-bottom: 0px;

    height: 90px;

    -webkit-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    -moz-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    -o-transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    transition: margin-top 0.5s ease-in-out;

    }

    but it doesn't work.

    I also want to change the button- 'Learn More' and 'Contact' which style is it using? I tried manipulating the 'buttons' sytle but it didn't work.

    Thank you!

    I created H7 and ticker 7 as an addition to the styles available.

    I can't seem to change h1

    Can you send me the link to your site so I can check it out, also I would highly recommend using a different element as h7 is not a valid HTML element, the heading elements go as far as h6 only.

    You can also try adding the following into your CSS:

    .ticker h1 { color: #123456!important; }

    Where '#123456' is the HEX color value for your heading.

    Thank you the ticker works now!

    Please can you also tell me how I can change the text color of the button below- 'Learn more' and 'Contact"

    Changing the color of the buttons is a bit tricky as one of them uses an image icon (the arrow) so you will need to replace that as well. You can see the CSS for those buttons in your style.css file in the buttons section on line 112. Look for :

    .dark .button { border: 1px solid #fff!important; }
    .dark .button:hover { background: rgba(255, 255, 255, .1); filter: alpha(opacity=50); }

    .button.no-border { border: none!important; padding: 20px 0px; }

    .button.no-border:hover {
    	border: none!important;
    	background: transparent;
    	opacity: .7;
        filter: alpha(opacity=70);
    }

    .button .icon {
    	display: inline-block;
    	margin-left: 17px;
    	margin-bottom: -6px;
    	width: 26px;
    	height: 26px;
    	cursor: pointer;
    	background: url(../images/icons/right.png) no-repeat center center;
    }

    I did look at this, and can change the button border, but where is the hex# for the text?

    I don't want to change the image icon of the arrow. Just the text Learn more and Contact. I can't seem to find that.

    There is no Hex value for the border, we use RGB/RGBA values for those, you can see them in the above code I pasted on the background style rule. ( rgba(255, 255, 255, .1) where 255, 255, 255 is the RGB value, and the '.1' is the Alpha value.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    I tried to post a question but your site tells me that my purchase code is incorrect.  I have copy/pasted it so it should be correct.

    please let me know how to proceed as i have a question about the Visia theme I purchased.

    thank you.

    Have you purchased the HTML version, or one of the others? Also, have you selected the Visia template from the dropdown when posting a ticket?

    Thanks,
    Nick
